Vocal with Lesa Vaughan:

Originally from the Annapolis Valley, Lesa has been singing as long as she can remember.
A singer/songwriter, she has performed in bands from different genres including bluegrass, folk, rock, and country. She continues to perform with Notesfloat, a Halifax duo.
Lesa offers beginner voice and can help you learn proper vocal technique, including strengthening exercises, overcoming vocal challenges, and finding your best voice.

Fiddle, Mandolin, and Guitar with Michael Cavanaugh:
Born in a very small town, Englishtown, Cape Breton, Michael began taking fiddle lessons at age 7 and has been developing his talent ever since. He also plays guitar, writes his own music and lyrics, and performs in multiple pubs, clubs, concerts and bars. Most of his musical career has been spent in Cape Breton where he is particularly enjoys hosting shows for the Annual Celtic Colours Festival. Very recently he has relocated to Halifax and is now offering fiddle, mandolin, and guitar lessons at the school.

Rock & Jazz Guitar & Music Theory with Justin Bell:
Having played guitar for many years, Justin has been teaching since age 11 and works with students of all levels and backgrounds.
Justin has studied with high profile jazz musicians such as Jake Hanlon (head of Jazz Studies at St. FX) His first release on vinyl will be out March 3 with band "Mushkat" who is signed with gooseberry records. He is currently part of a duo with ECMA nominee Stephen Terry.
He offers lessons in rock and jazz guitar and music theory.

Violin/Fiddle with Anthony Rissesco:
Anthony Rissesco is a versatile violin player and teacher, experienced in all styles of playing from classical violin to traditional fiddle.
As a music student at Dalhousie University, Anthony studied classical violin under Phillippe Djokic. He has won fiddle competitions throughout Canada. In 1990, he came third in the prestigious Canadian Open in Shelburne Ontario, and he was chosen to represent Nova Scotia at the Grand Masters Competition in Ottawa for six consecutive years. Anthony has played with Symphony Nova.Scotia., Bruce Guthro, Cyril MacPhee, and Peggy Seeger.
Banjo with Roger Stone:
Raised in St. Peters, Richmond County, Cape Breton Island, Roger has over 25 years teaching experience for students at every level.
He is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and musician and enjoys the reputation of being one of the finest banjo players in Nova Scotia.
Roger has taught in Halifax for over 20 years and is one of this city's most well known instructors.

Recently arriving from Vancouver, Ben offers beginner and intermediate lessons in guitar.
